EVENTS4FOUNDERS · UPDATED 8 OCTOBER 2026

Terms of use.

The ground rules for using Events4Founders and sharing events with the community.

1. About the service

Events4Founders provides a calendar of events for founders and startup communities. These terms apply to use of events4founders.com. Contact us at communitymanager@events4founders.com. Browsing and community submissions are currently free; any future paid service would have its price and applicable terms shown before you choose to purchase it.

2. Accounts and preferences

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Provide accurate details, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Choose a supported home city during registration. You may change this later and browse any supported city. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account.

3. Event listings and external bookings

We aim to provide useful listings, but dates, venues, admission requirements, prices and availability can change. Always confirm the details with the organiser before travelling or booking. Displayed event times are local to the listed city. Inclusion does not endorse the organiser or guarantee admission, quality, safety or any business outcome.

Events4Founders does not sell tickets, take event payments or act as the organiser’s booking agent. Any attendance, ticket or refund agreement is with the organiser or booking platform. Their terms govern cancellations and refunds. This does not remove any responsibility we have for our own service under applicable law.

4. Submitting content

Submit only events you organise or are authorised to represent, or material you are authorised to curate for the site. You must have the rights and permissions needed for the content and comply with our event guidelines. Keep information accurate, specify the correct city and update or withdraw cancelled events promptly. Do not submit unlawful, discriminatory, misleading or infringing material, private attendee information, spam or duplicate listings.

You retain rights in your content. You grant Events4Founders a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, format, display and share it through the calendar and its service communications for the purpose of providing and promoting the listing. This licence lasts while the content is published or otherwise reasonably needed to operate the service, including backups and moderation records. It does not transfer ownership to us.

5. Review and moderation

New listings and edits require review. There is no guaranteed publication or review time. Editing a published listing returns it to the review queue. We may decline, correct or remove listings that breach these terms, are inaccurate or are unsuitable for the calendar. We may restrict accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service. Where practical, we will explain the reason and allow you to address it. Contact us if you believe a decision was wrong. Community accounts are limited to five new submissions per rolling 24 hours; authorised editorial administrators are exempt.

6. Acceptable use and our materials

Do not bypass security or submission limits, interfere with the service, impersonate others, distribute malware, scrape personal information or infringe others’ rights. You may use the calendar and share links for legitimate purposes. Our branding, software and original site materials remain ours or our licensors’. Event materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.

7. Availability and responsibility

We take reasonable care in providing the service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that third-party information is always current. We may maintain, improve or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice of material changes where practical. Please keep your own copy of submitted information.

We are responsible for loss caused by our breach of these terms to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights. We do not guarantee commercial results from events or introductions.

8. Privacy, ending your account and changes

Our privacy policy explains personal-information use. Optional analytics consent is separate from accepting these terms. You can stop using the site at any time and request account closure by email. We may update these terms; material changes will be brought to your attention where appropriate. The version you accept is recorded with your account. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you already have.

9. Questions and disputes

Please contact communitymanager@events4founders.com so we can try to resolve a problem. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections you have under the law of your country of residence. Nothing prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in their local courts where the law allows it or relying on mandatory local rights.
